Plan Your Long Weekends in 2019

INFOGRAPHIC: Here is a list of long weekends this 2019, based on Proclamation No. 555, s. 2018 declaring the regular holidays and special (non-working) days for 2019. https://www.dfa.gov.ph/dfa-news/statements-and-advisoriesupdate/17606-infographic-plan-your-long-weekends-this-2019

Note: The infographic is not an exhaustive list of all the 2019 holidays declared by Malacañang. This list covers only holidays that fall on a Monday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday (with one vacation leave in between), making the long weekend possible.

Top Beach Destinations on my Mind

There are a lot of beach destinations that can be visited in different parts of the globe but there are a few places that I want to check in the next few years or so. Traveling may be expensive but I am willing to save up just to see some nice places that will give me wonderful memories to remember.

  1. Kuta Bali Beach

If you are planning to visit Indonesia then you should visit this wonderful beach. Indonesia is an archipelago made out of different islands with different beaches but Kuta Bali Beach is the best choice if you want a party – centric atmosphere and if you are fond of surfing. I am not a pro but I will enjoy catching the waves that this destination has to offer.

  1. Kamalame Cay, Bahamas

It is a known fact that the Bahamas is one of the best places to visit especially for people who are fond of being near the beach. Kamalame Cay is a private spot that I want to visit someday. It is 15 minutes away by air from Nassau. Just thinking about the crystal blue waters surrounding the island is enough to make me wonder how nice it would be to stay there for a certain period of time.

  1. Railay Beach, Thailand

Known for the high limestone cliffs, Railay Beach is one of the places that I like to visit. This is a very peaceful island that I will surely have a grand time exploring especially because it is serene and beautiful. This can only be accessed by boat so this makes it more remote than other beaches.

  1. Navagio Beach, Greece

Greece is known to be a wonderful and mystical place that a lot of tourists would love to visit but I am highly interested in checking out Navagio Beach which is located in a cove in Zakynthos. This is a beach that is also known as shipwreck beach.

  1. Whitehaven Beach, Australia

This is one legendary beach that I want to visit soon because of how heavenly it looks. The very white sand seems to mix with the crystal blue ocean. There are times when the water looks almost turquoise from a far. I would not mind swimming here even if people are requested to watch out for sharks.

These are just a few of the beaches that I want to visit soon. There are still a lot more that I will also check out once I have reached the different destinations mentioned above.

Sea Lion artist

One of the attractions inside Ocean Adventure in Subic is this shop run by the Wildlife In Need Center where paintings made by sea lions. More souvenirs are displayed and sold to visitors and tourists. My son enjoyed the whole adventure including the shows presented by talented animals and their trainers. We would love to go back if ever we get the chance.
