Happy 17th Birthday

Itâ€™s your birthday today but youâ€™ll be spending your day at school because you still have classes and exams to catch. I donâ€™t have so much to say because you already know how much we care for you and love you. Youâ€™ve grown a lot but you still maintain that simplicity. (Iâ€™m glad that youâ€™re still not wearing makeup to glam yourself up.)

We are proud of you because no matter how difficult some of your subjects are, you’re able to maintain good grades. Dad and I appreciate your dedication to keep your scholarship by studying doubly hard. Despite the situation we are in now, isa lang maipapangako namin ni Dad, makakatapos ka ng pag-aaral, no matter what.

I just want you to enjoy your day and be happy always.

Iâ€™ve been helping my daughter look for her old photographs since yesterday. She will use the pictures for her presentation in school. My blogs turn out to be the source of most of the pictures that she needs. I couldnâ€™t possibly help her right away if sheâ€™s looking for GHS guitar strings. Good thing I was able to search her photos from my old blog posts.

Hardworking student

School life isnâ€™t a bed of roses for my daughter. If given an extra time she might still use them to do her homework or review her lessons for an upcoming recitation or examination. Thatâ€™s how diligent she is. But donâ€™t think sheâ€™s not having fun at all. She knows when to relax and enjoy a bit of her favorite activities in between her busy school sked. She maintains a balance between her studies and hobby. You can catch her watching a movie or drawing from her laptop. She also listens to her favorite FM radio station to unwind. I guess if she can play a musical instrument she could use her spare time to play one even an instrument that uses a cool big muff pedal.

And yes, hard work is always rewarded. A report sent to me by her school shows her midterm’s performance for the second term.
