CC – My man, my bestfriend

Rodliz’s Nest

Hubby and I met at work. We used to be officemates although we have different jobs. He is holding a technical job while I’m assigned at the editorial department.

We hit it off as friends and now even when we’re already married we see to it that we still share everything from food, clothes (I borrow his undies hehe), corny jokes and everything else there is to share between friends.

buddies

I’m sharing this song by Janet Basco and Jose Marie Chan to explain how I feel for my husband who is also my friend. I’m sure a lot of you are familiar with this song.

My Girl, My Woman, My Friend
(Jose Mari Chan)
when my work is through at the end of the day
there’s nothing else that i’d rather do
than to be with you at the end of the day
to be right by your side makes me feel brand new

coz your my girl, my woman, my friend
and that’s how it’s gonna be til the end
loving you is what i lived for
and i cant ask for anything more
than my woman, my girl and my friend
roled into one

(Janet Basco)
your my man and im at the prime of my life
to you i give myself, all my heart
all of what i am at the prime of my life
i’ll never let a thing come to break us apart

coz im your girl, your woman, your friend
and that’s how it’s gonna be til the end
loving you is what i lived for
and i cant ask for anything more
than to be your woman, your girl and your friend

(Jose Mari Chan)
being with you, my love
makes my day complete

(Janet Basco)
holding you close, my love
creates a wondrous dream

(Jose Mari Chan)
no need to say the word
no fancy places for me

(Janet Basco)
love is everywhere
as long as you are there with me

(Duet)
we’ll be free, our love will set us free
to be you and me

im your girl, your woman, your friend
and that’s how it’s gonna be til the end
loving you is what i lived for
and i cant ask for anything more
than to be your woman, your girl and your friend
roled into one

Honesty

Does it pay to be honest? Of course. Syempre walang gulo, maayos ang takbo ng relastionship niyo.

I’m honest, meaning I speak my mind when it concerns family matters;  when I don’t like the attitude of certain people (I tell him even those things); when it concerns money matters (walang kupitan, that’s bad, bad, bad); during our intimate moments (no details please, hehe); to the most trivial – hubby’s outfit for the day. But in fairness, magandang magdala ng damit ang jowa ko. 😀

I could go on and on telling you instances in my life or my married life when I ‘exercise’ honesty. Ang hirap mag-recall eh. But for now, ito lang muna ang maishi-share ko. The enty is kind of late…if you have been intrigued by this topic, why don’t try reading the entries of more brave women here. Happy weekend everyone!

Rodliz’s Nest

Have I told you lately that I love you

Yeah! I heard those words thrice this morning just before my two kids step out of our door and board their school service. And heard it uttered by hubby when he goes for work early today. Tonight, I’m expecting three more ‘I love you” from them. But if you were to ask me when hubby and I exchange I love you while looking at each others eyes, I don’t remember if it never happened lol. I would love to hear him whisper those words to me, but he thinks it’s corny. When I feel the urge to tell him how much I appreciate and love him, I would move closer to him (if we are sitting beside each other) and hold his hand and lean my head on his shoulder. My husband is not the mushy type of guy. But his actions and the way he treats me and our kids are  enough to show his affection towards us.

A woman would run through fire and water for such a kind heart.
